To ensure that no tourist is deprived of visiting the Amer fort due to a national holiday and considering the increase in tourists, the department of archaeology has agreed to keep the fort open for viewing on the day of Holi, i.e 24th March, 2016. The fort will be open during the afternoon from 1400 hrs to 1730 hrs. Thou there will be no elephant ride available on that day.
