Overview

This tour of 23 days offers you a little glimpse of all that Indian subcontinent has to offer. Dip a toe in the past and experience the vibrant culture and royal ways of the princely state of Rajasthan including Jaipur and Udaipur and immerse yourself in the lap of nature like never before with the serene and scenic beauty that south Indian has to offer including Kovalam, Alleppy and Munnar amongst others.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Delhi

Arrive at the Delhi airport to be received by one of our representatives. Check in at the hotel accommodation already booked for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi sightseeing

A visit to the UNESCO world heritage site, Outub Minar and Humayun’s tomb along with the Red Fort, popularly known as Lal Quila since it is made of red sandstone. This is followed by a brief stop and a drive by the India Gate and a visit to the Mahatma Gandhi memorial, Rajghat. The day is concluded with a visit to the Old Delhi which includes the Chandani Chowk and Jama Masjid.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra

A drive to Agra from delhi post breakfast. Check in at the hotel and leave to visit the Taj Mahal, an embodiment of beauty and love. Taj Mahal is a mausoleum Shah Jahan built for his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. This is followed by a visit to the Itimad-ud-Daulah tomb and a brief visit to the Agra Fort which served as the residence for the Mughal emperors at a time.

Day 4: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

Drive to the pink city, Jaipur after a hearty breakfast. Immerse yourself in the historical experience throughout the journey with a brief stop at Abhaneri and then Fatehpur Sikri. Abhaneri is a village famous for Chand Baori step well and Abhaneri historical palace. Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful example of the exemplary Mughal architecture. A visit to the Panch Mahal and the Tomb of Salim Chisti is a must. Reach Jaipur and check in at the hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing

A scrumptious breakfast to prepare you for the day long journey through the past with the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and then the Amer Fort and Jaigarh fort. Both of these forts were owned by Maharaja Jai Singh II and are placed in a manner to keep an eye on the city. Make a brief stop at Jal Mahal on the way back and visit the Birla Mandir is the time permits.

Day 6: Jaipur - Pushkar

Drive to one of the finest pilgrimage places that Rajasthan has to offer: Pushkar. Check in at the hotel and then visit the sacred Pushkar Lake and the Jagatpita Brahma temple, a revered and one of the few temples dedicated to the hindu God of creation: Lord Brahma. Enjoy the free evening to roam around and experience the city at your own pace.

Day 7: Pushkar - Jodhpur

Travel further to Jodhpur, the blue city. Jodhpur gets its name as blue city because of the houses in the old city area all painted in blue. Here, Visit the Mehrangarh Fort (one of the largest forts in the country that stands 410 feet above the city), The Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Jaswant Thada along with a few other monumental places. Enjoy an evening stroll at the local Clock town market.

Day 8: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

Continue your journey to Udaipur while making a brief stop at Ranakpur. Ranakpur is famous for its architectural ruins and the Jain temples of beautiful artistry made out of marble stones. Reach Udaipur and check in at the pre-booked hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 9: Udaipur Sightseeing

Another historical city of Rajasthan, Udaipur is known as the city of lakes. Enjoy the display of beautiful works of art and Antiques at the City palace and a casual stroll through the beautiful gardens of Saheliyon ki Bari. Visit the Eklingji Shiva temple and end the evening with boat ride at Lake Pichola and enjoy the mesmerizing view that Udaipur has to offer.

Day 10: Udaipur - Cochin

Drive to the Udaipur airport to catch a flight to Cochin. Upon arrival, you will be driven to your hotel for check in and relaxation.

Day 11: Cochin Sightseeing

Enjoy the delicious authentic South Indian breakfast and kick start your tour to south India with Jewish Synagogue, one of the oldest active synagogues amongst the commonwealth nations. Visit the two famous churches, namely, St. Francis and Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica followed by a visit to the Mattancherry Palace which is a Portuguese palace that has exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi along with murals of Hindu temple art. Conclude your day with the kathakali dance show that is native to Kerala after enjoying the picturesque view that marine drive has to offer.

Day 12: Cochin - Munnar

Move on to your next destination, that is, Munnar. Munnar is famous for its beautiful sprawling tea gardens. Utilize the latter half of your day visiting the tea museum, tea factory and tea gardens of Munnar.

Day 13: Munnar Sightseeing

Enjoy the whole day exploring the old Munnar town and shopping at the local markets. Visit the numerous beautiful locations that Munnar has to offer including Mattupetty Dam and Eravikulam National Park among many others.

Day 14: Munnar - Periyar

Enjoy the picturesque journey from Munnar to Periyar after breakfast. Check in and freshen up at the hotel upon arrival. Set out to explore the plantation of various spices all around Periyar like cloves, pepper and nutmeg and many more.

Day 15: Periyar National Park

Experience the famous Periyar wildlife at the Periyar National park followed by a boat ride in the Periyar Lake. Enjoy the display of Kalaripayattu, a tamil martial arts form in the evening.

Day 16: Periyar - Kumarakom

Have a heavy breakfast and start your journey to Kumarakom, a beautiful city besides the Vembanad Lake. Enjoy an excursion through the Kumarakom bird sanctuary which is spread over 14 acres. The main attractions include the migratory Siberian crane along with many other local birds including flycatcher, parrots lark, teal and other migratory birds you can find depending on the respective seasons.

Day 17: Kumarakom - Alleppey

Leave for your next stop that is Alleppey post breakfast. If you haven’t already lost your heart, gliding through the houseboats in Alleppey will definitely seal the deal. Enjoy the beautiful boat ride through narrow canal fringed with tall palm trees and alongside the unending expanse of padded fields along with the unforgettable picturesque views. Sit back, relax and revel in the beauty of nature with the flocks of birds in the sky and ducks swimming around the banks.

Day 18: Alleppey - Kovalam

Travel to Kovalam after enjoying the beautiful picturesque that Alleppy has to offer. KOvalam is a beach town by the Arabian sea. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest for the night.

Day 19: Kovalam Ayurveda Treatment

Kovalam is also one of the best places in India to experience an Ayurvedic massage in India. Sit back, relax and enjoy your choice of ayurvedic massage with a view of the scenic beaches.

Day 20: Kovalam Sightseeing

Hangout at the sea coast enjoying the calm and relaxation that Kovalam has to offer along with various local sites including temples and lighthouses. Rest of the evening will be leisurely.

Day 21: Kovalam Beaches

Enjoy your day at the three famous beaches, namely, the Lighthouse beach, Samudra beach and the Kovalam Beach. Indulge yourself in the scenic beauty and the local cuisine.

Day 22: Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam

Travel further to Kanyakumari after a hot and hearty breakfast. Kanyakumari is a picturesque in itself with plains bordered by the colorful seashores on one side and hill surrounding the city on the other. It is also a notable pilgrimage place. Visit the Gandhi Memorial, Vivekananda ROch memorial, Bhagavathy Aman Temple and Thiruvalluvar Statue amongst other and conclude your evening with the scenic sunset view. Head back to Kovalam for the night stay.

Day 23: Trivandrum - Mumbai

Head to Trivandrum post breakfast to catch a flight for Mumbai for your journey onwards.
