Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
After breakfast, leave Jodhpur and begin travelling south towards Udaipur. Today's journey includes an important heritage stop at Ranakpur, bringing the route into the Aravalli landscape.
Visit the celebrated Ranakpur Jain Temple according to current opening hours and religious-site regulations. Its architecture is dramatically different from the massive sandstone fort visited in Jodhpur.
Inside the permitted sections, observe the elaborate marble pillars, carved ceilings, domes and ornamental details. Changing natural light across the stonework adds depth to the intricate interior craftsmanship.
As the temple remains an active religious site, all group members should follow current requirements regarding footwear, appropriate clothing, photography, mobile phones and restricted belongings. Access regulations can change and should be respected locally.
After completing the Ranakpur visit, continue through the Aravalli region towards Udaipur. Arrive and check into the selected hotel for a two-night stay, leaving the principal City Palace sightseeing for the following morning.
Overnight stay in Udaipur.
Begin the morning at Udaipur City Palace, the extensive former royal complex positioned above Lake Pichola. Its terraces, courtyards, balconies and interconnected palace sections reveal the architectural development of Mewar across successive generations.
Walk through the accessible areas and observe decorative interiors, carved windows and elevated viewpoints across the lake and surrounding old city. The relationship between architecture, water and the Aravalli hills gives Udaipur an identity unlike either Jaipur or Jodhpur.
Continue to nearby Jagdish Temple, an active religious site within the historic centre. Group members should observe current footwear, photography and conduct requirements while visiting the temple.
Later, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari or other attractions specifically included in the confirmed programme. Its garden environment provides a quieter contrast after the more elaborate architectural spaces of City Palace.
