Amber Fort to Remain Open on Holi

The most visited monument in Jaipur,  Amber fort, will be opened to the tourists in the afternoon on Holi this year.So far Holi was the only day in the calendar when all the monuments in the city were shut to the tourists. But  this year, Amber Mahal will remain open from three in the afternoon till five. Later half of the day even the elephant rides would be open to the tourists.

The decision to keep the fort open to tourists is believed to have come around after a tour operator was sued by a tourist and had to pay through his nose for not taking the client for the elephant ride and a trip to the Amber fort.
