Begin with the Taj Mahal according to official opening schedules. Enter through the monumental gateway and approach the white marble mausoleum along the formal garden axis.
Observe how symmetry, water channels, landscaping and the flanking buildings contribute to the complete composition. The Taj Mahal is best understood as an integrated architectural complex rather than only as its central marble structure.
Closer inspection reveals delicate inlay work, calligraphy and ornamental details. Changes in daylight can subtly alter the appearance of the marble throughout the visit.
