Pink City is all set to host two days long 16th Bird Festival which is all set to begin from February 12, 2013. The festival devoted to Urban Lakes' Conservation in Rajasthan will be held at Mansagar Lake. This time around 3000 birds will be seen here.

About 2,500 migratory birds can be seen against 10,000 birds reported a few years back. Diving shovellers, pintails, coots, resident ducks like spot-bill duck and common moorhen, and four species of egrets too can be seen though barely 400 in number.  Besides, the Lake forms part of Jaipur’s northern frontal facade, which is marked by hills, forests, forts, heritage buildings, Ashwamegh Yajna site and cluster of Temples, and casts a spell binding charm over visitors during this birding fair.
